Williamson Park is an expansive, landscaped park nestled on the outskirts of Lancaster. With serene views of the city and Morecambe Bay, it’s a perfect spot for dog owners.

The park is home to various walking paths to explore with your dog. There are plenty of open spaces where your furry friend can run freely, and the park is home to the iconic Ashton Memorial, which makes for a great backdrop for those perfect pet photos.

You can also enjoy a coffee at the Pavillion café, where dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area but must be kept on a lead.

Head to Preston to watch egg rolling at Avenham Park. This age old tradition dates back over 150 years and is a spectacle not to be missed. Bring your own Easter egg to roll down the hill. Roll with your family or join the official events that take place every hour, on the hour.

Alongside the egg rolling, you can enjoy an action packed schedule of street theatre, live music, craft workshops and an Easter bonnet competition.

Easter Fun Day

Samlesbury, Preston

Visit Samlesbury historic house and gardens for their annual Easter Fun Day. Taking place on 20th April, this family event, promises a host of activities to keep younger members of the family entertained.

From 11am – 4pm you can enjoy an Easter bonnet competition, Punch & Judy shows, face painting and a craft fair.
