It's Nice to Bee Friendly!
28th November 2016
Here at Moss Wood we try very hard to work to help our local environment.
In 2016 we have focused a lot of our efforts on pollinators. These helpful insects (mainly) of different shapes and sizes are the key to a healthy local environment. So we have tried to bee (get it!) as Honey Bee Friendly as possible this year to get the maximum benefit for our wildlife at Moss Wood.
We are very proud to have been recognised for our efforts by the British Beekeepers Association and British Holiday and Home Parks Association!
Not only do bees help out our plants by helping to pollinate them, but they also attract other animals! We have always had an abundance of wildlife around us here at Moss Wood, but this year has been better than most. Next year we will be running a Wildlife Survey with local experts coming to show our guests more about the different species we get around the site. We hope that as many of you as possible will get involved with us!
