We take the health and well-being of our customers and staff very seriously. We urge all of our customers to follow government and medical advice through these difficult times to help protect each other and the NHS.

UPON REOPENING:

• From 12th April we will be open to a limited number of tourers. Units must be self contained as under the government rules you will not be able to use our shared facilities (including but not limited to shower and toilet blocks) until later in May

Our touring pitches will continue to have a reduced capacity until further notice as we seek to assist our guests in social distancing for everyone’s safety. Our play areas will be opened – but we ask that children are supervised to ensure use of the hand sanitiser provided and to maintain social distancing on the park to the best of your ability.

For the safety of our staff and guests, we will close the shop daily from 1pm – 2pm for cleaning and restocking.

Please note all guests must register online here with the names of those staying in their party at Moss Wood, the dates they will be staying, and contact numbers. This is to comply with the Test and Trace regulations in the fight against Covid-19 (Coronavirus).

Also to note:

• If you feel unwell you must inform us, request a test and go home. You must not self-isolate in your caravan.
• The way reception and the shop operate has changed: We do have screens and hand sanitiser dispensers, but we ask that where possible business is transacted on the telephone and not face to face in reception.
• The shop will open from 9 am till 5 pm, however we will close for one hour between 1pm and 2pm every day for cleaning and restocking.
• We would prefer not to be taking cash payments.  Where possible we ask you to make all payments by card or over the phone or through the website for settlement of your accounts.
• Only two people maximum will be allowed in Reception/Shop area at a time.
• No dogs or unaccompanied children will be admitted in shop or reception until further notice.
• For the protection of our employees we are still sticking to 2 meters social distancing everywhere.
• The trust library will remain unavailable until further notice
• If you wish to view a new caravan this can be done, but at a safe distance. The caravan will be open for you and you will be left to view on your own. No one will follow you into that caravan on the same day.

We hope you are enjoying the Park being back open and the children’s summer holidays. We are certainly pleased to have everyone back.

Today we have been approached by the authorities to ensure our customers continue to be sensible, respect social distancing, and remember to provide information on the cv19@mosswood.co.uk for each and every stay.

You will all be aware of the spikes in the virus and the restrictions placed on areas such as Blackburn with Darwen, Burnley, Hyndburn, Pendle and the Greater Manchester area overnight. We have been instructed to put measures in place for a potential temporary short notice closure of the park should the need arise. We sincerely hope this won’t happen to us – but it could.

Whilst on Holiday:

• If you feel unwell you must ring 119 and arrange a test.
• If you are contacted by Track and Trace at any time whilst here you must notify us immediately.
• You must then return home in your own transport.

It is imperative that you limit the number of people staying in your caravan to limit numbers on the park and comply with recent changes on social distancing. You may have noticed we are not taking a full capacity of tourers for this reason. Please do not invite your friends to visit until we inform you that the restrictions on us have been lifted.

The contact details of every person in your caravan staying or just visiting must be registered through the cv19@mosswood.co.uk email address. After a reasonable period this information is deleted from our system in line with GDPR regulations. It will only be provided to NHS Track and Trace should it be requested and we will notify you if this situation occurs.

Please be aware that the new restrictions mean that you should not visit your friends in other caravans on the park until further notice, in the same way that you are not allowed to visit your friends in other homes at the moment. We note that under park rules you should also supervise your children at all times whilst they are on the play area – however at this time it is especially important to ensure that children use the provided hand sanitiser before and after playing on the park and to ensure that they keep social distancing. We will also be closing the play areas at 8pm each night.

Please do respect others and the staff here at Moss Wood. At our sister park we have already had three members of our team tested. If our staff become infected, then it is highly likely that we will be forced to close the park once again.

All of this information comes from the newly published ‘Covid 19 early outbreak management of Campsites and Caravan Parks’ and the latest restrictions issued by the government in the last 24hrs.

These are immensely difficult times and many of the new rules are restrictive, but I thank everyone for their continued patience and understanding. Together we will pull through.
