If you’d prefer to venture closer to home, there are some fantastic romantic walks in Arnside and Silverdale, including routes at Arnside Knott, Dallam Park and Hutton Roof Crags.
You don’t even need to leave Moss Wood to explore the great outdoors. The woodland walk on our park boasts a carpet of bluebells in Spring and is not to be missed! You’ll also find many more romantic woodland walks in Lancashire, just a stone’s throw from our park.

Whether you’re feeling energetic and want to explore the area, or simply sit back and watch a show and enjoy a romantic meal with your significant other, there are a range of things to do for adults in Lancaster.
The closest beaches to Moss Wood are Cockerham Sands, Fluke Hall (6 miles) and Knott End (8 miles). We’re within easy reach of Lancaster, where you’ll find a host of historic attractions, delicious restaurants and independent shops to peruse. We’re also conveniently located for a day trip to Blackpool – the home of the iconic Pleasure Beach and attractions like The Big One, Blackpool Tower Eye, Madame Tussauds and Sea Life Centre.

There are a wide range of cafés, restaurants and bars in and around Lancashire. Head out for a quiet drink, light bite or a three course meal on your couples getaway – you won’t be far away from a magnificent meal near Moss Wood!
A favourite among guests on our park is The Priory in Scorton, where you can enjoy everything from a quick coffee to a full main meal and dessert. There are both indoor and outdoor seating areas – so in Summer you can dine al fresco and enjoy the fresh Lancashire air. In the Winter you can get cosy in front of two wood burning fires.
You’ll also love The Patten Arms – just a 10-minute drive from Moss Wood. This is one of the best places to go for a Sunday Roast in the area! The Manor Inn in Cockerham is also held in high regard by the locals!

Why not visit our trust library, where you can borrow DVDs, and head to the small shop where you can stock up on the essentials and sample our great collection of local produce.
