Autumn Breaks in Lancashire
Explore the best of Lancashire this autumn
In our opinion, autumn is one of the best times to enjoy a caravan holiday in Lancashire. It’s far less busy than the summer months and the scenery looks incredible as the trees turn orange and brown. Despite the cooler weather, there’s still so much to see and do in the local area. Plus, there are fantastic savings to be had as we switch to our low season tariff.
Autumn in Lancashire
Lancashire is a beautiful county with magnificent countryside and spectacular coastline. Autumn offers the chance to take in the changing scenery and admire the beautiful views for which our region is renowned. We highly recommend taking sometime to explore the Forest of Bowland during a holiday in October or November. You’ll be mesmerised by the pretty trees and the array of colours on display. Landscape photographers will have the opportunity to capture some spectacular sights. The clear skies common at this time of year lend themselves to stargazing in one of the acclaimed Dark Sky Discovery Sites.
On blustery days we love nothing more than heading to the coast for a bracing walk along the sands. With the wind in your hair and salty sea air, you’ll feel refreshed and relaxed during your break.
Dog friendly holidays
Autumn is an excellent time to visit our dog friendly holiday park with your four legged friend. The majority of restrictions are lifted from the end of September, so your canine companion can visit dog friendly beaches for a run off lead.
It’s also perfect for hiking or cycling along popular hiking trails such as the Lancashire Coastal Way. You’ll meet fewer people and they’ll be less disturbance, which means you’re more likely to catch a glimpse of some of the local wildlife.
During the autumn months you may be lucky enough to spot red deer or witness the spectacle that is starling murmuration at one of the county’s nature reserves. Back on site, keep your eyes peeled for red squirrels as you complete our nature trail or woodland walk. At this time of the year they’re busy foraging for nuts in preparation for the cold winter ahead.
