Moss Wood Caravan Park in Lancaster is equipped with a range of modern facilities that are maintained to the highest standards. We take great pride in our offering, and work hard to ensure touring visitors and caravan holiday home owners have access to clean and tidy facilities during a stay at our Lancashire holiday park.
We’re constantly reinvesting in our facilities and listening to visitor feedback, to ensure we have everything our guests require and more. In addition to the standard facilities you would expect from a 5 star caravan park, such as an immaculate amenities block, well stocked shop and two children’s play areas, we’ve created a number of outdoor activities so that guests can make the most of our idyllic grounds. These include a nature trail, woodland walk and private fishing lake.

Heated Shower and Toilet Block
We know that excellent toilet and shower facilities are a priority when travelling, that’s why we’ve worked hard to create a clean and comfortable amenities block for our caravan, campervan and motorhome guests. Our heated toilet block is in the middle of our touring field and shower facilities are clean, comfortable and well-equipped with hair dryers and shaving points. There are separate disabled toilet and showers
Baby-Changing Facilities
Even if you have the room for baby changing back in your caravan or motorhome, it’s handy to have extra facilities that are available to use at your convenience. Our baby-changing area is available at a moment’s notice to keep little ones clean and happy.
Laundrette
Our laundrette has a washer, dryer, iron and ironing board so that you can stay on top of chores during your stay. Having the ability to wash and dry clothes on site is excellent for guests staying for an extended period of time or if the kids get a little bit muddy exploring the great outdoors.
Washing Sinks
After a delicious meal in your caravan, motorhome or holiday home, make use of our washing up area to clean your plates, bowls and cutlery. If you have older children in the family, this is a perfect after-dinner chore for them to partake in while you sit back and relax!
Adventure Playground and Recreational Field
We pride ourselves on being a caravan park who welcomes everyone to come and stay, especially younger guests. For children, we have two outdoor adventure play parks, which boast a range of slides and climbing equipment. We also have a dedicated recreational field, which is ideal for family ball games. Safety is our highest priority, so we enforce a speed limit of 10mph, so children can ride bikes or scooters at any time.
Shop and Reception
Our on site shop is open seven days a week for your convenience. We stock everyday items so you won’t have to travel far for the essentials. We have have a range of local produce from around Lancashire, including meat from the smokery just down the road. You can also order newspapers throughout the week and locally baked fresh bread for the weekend.
Well-stocked Coarse Fishing Lake
Our Lancaster holiday park has a private coarse fishing lake on site, perfect for avid anglers or newcomers wanting to try fishing for the time. You might be lucky and spot some wildlife whilst you wait for a bite. The lake is easily accessible and well-stocked with a range of species, including carp, roach, rudd and tench. With touring and holiday home accommodation just a short walk away, Moss Wood Caravan Park is the ideal place to enjoy a fishing holiday in Lancashire. Spending a couple of hours on the banks whiling away a sunny afternoon before retreating to the comfort of your caravan and our 5 star facilities.
Woodland Walk
Taking a leisurely stroll along our woodland walk is an absolute must during a stay at Moss Wood Caravan Park. The half mile path takes you through picturesque native woodland, which is carpeted by wildflowers at different times of the year. Keep your eyes peeled for the different species of bird that nest within the woods! Our woodland walk is the perfect escape and an ideal way to relax during your weekend away or extended break. We think it’s one of the best woodland walks in Lancashire! If you’re feeling adventurous and looking for a longer hike, why not it combine it with the Lancashire coastal way?
Nature Trail
Conservation is at the heart of everything we do at Moss Wood Caravan Park. We have worked hard to create natural spaces, where plants, trees, flowers and various species of wildlife can thrive. As part of our work to engage people with the natural environment, we’ve created a 1.5km nature trail around our grounds to give guests the opportunity to get up close to the wildlife that surrounds the park. Pick up a free guide at reception or look out for the information boards around the park.
