The RSPB are running their Big Gardenwatch again in 2018, which is a great way to have fun watching your local wildlife while helping to protect them! If you’re wondering how…read on!
To join in, all you have to do is find a good spot to watch from. It can even be nice and warm indoors so long as you have a good view from a window! Then some time over the weekend of 27-29th January, pick an hour and watch the birds. Don’t forget to note down what you see and then pass the info to the RSPB online. Easy!

By collecting information about what people see from all over the country (about half a million people took part last year!) the RSPB can piece together a pretty accurate picture of the spread of bird species across the whole of the UK. This data is then used to focus on where the RSPB is most needed and tells us what we can do to help our precious wildlife.
