Lancaster really does have the perfect walk for everyone. Mosey along the pretty canal beside the River Lune, hike up iconic peaks in the Forest of Bowland AONB or stroll along Morecambe Bay. We are lucky to be situated in such a fantastic location with convenient access to many coastal and countryside walks.

Here, we’ve selected just 5 walks that varying difficult from easy to expert. As you might assume, the easy walks are for those with children and/or limited mobility, or simply hikers who fancy a nice, relaxed walk. The intermediate and expert walks command a higher level of fitness due to longer distances, rougher terrain and more inclined trails.

Williamson Park is a lovely place to spend the day. There are stunning lake views, a lovely café and children’s play areas which cater to ages from toddlers to teenagers.

After a long day exploring the area, head back to our caravan site in Lancaster and enjoy a nice hot shower. We’ve also got baby-changing facilities, a laundrette, washing sinks, reception and shop – so you can keep feeling refresh and stocked up on the basics!

The Coarse Fishing Lake is a great place to kick back and enjoy an afternoon on the park!

Explore Lancashire’s best kept secret by following the Woodland Walk and Nature Trail.

Children are sure to be entertained on-site – we have an adventure playground and recreational field on offer for your little ones (and big ones) to burn off some steam!
