History of Swift
Swift prides themselves on being the UK’s largest manufacturer of Caravans, Holiday Homes and Motorhomes, which they have been doing for over 50 years. Founded in 1964 by Ken Smith, they have grown from simple beginnings to become an international company, exporting their products to Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Thailand.
Innovations

They are also well known for their innovations when it comes to the design and manufacture of their caravans:
- Smart Plus – removing wood from their construction so that it doesn’t suffer from moisture damage, replacing it with a hard polyurethane based body frame
- Smart HT – using high-tech materials such as a GRP bodyshell, the manufacturing of Swift caravans have been enhanced by using computer numerically controlled cutting to get an accurate shape
- Swift Command – monitor your caravan remotely using a smartphone app, which can indicate power, location, lighting, water levels and heating
- Connect Direct – an online service where each Swift customer can have a direct line to customer service advisors, along with access to a whole host of information about their caravan product
