Moss Wood Caravan Park shortlisted in the Sustainable Tourism category
The team at Moss Wood are proud to have been shortlisted for the final of the Lancashire Tourism Awards 2016, in the category for Sustainable Tourism! This category aims to recognise North West businesses that are “committed to being sustainable, responsible and ethical in how they operate and interact with customers, the wider community and the environment”.
Sustainable Tourism is something we take very seriously here at Moss Wood Caravan Park. We’re commitment to sustainability and always exploring new ways to look after our environment and ensure our impact is minimal. You can find out more about all the initiatives we have in place on our sustainable tourism page. You might also be interested in learning more about our Environmental Policy.
David Bellamy Gold Award
In addition to our nomination in the upcoming awards, we are proud to have been awarded the David Bellamy Gold Award for conservation each year since its inception in 1996. This award recognises our hard work in this area and the measures we have in place to encourage wildlife and create habitats throughout the park. Over the years we have seen wildlife thrive across our Lancashire holiday park and created a nature trail for visitors to experience it for themselves. Squirrels, hedgehogs, bats and various species of birds, bees and butterflies are regular visitors to our site.
Take a look at our blog for some information on how to help out local wildlife – whether that’s at our holiday park or at home. There you’ll find some ideas for environmentally friendly activities to keep the whole family entertained.
In the meantime we’re keeping our fingers crossed for success at the upcoming awards ceremony. It would be fantastic to win, so that our teams hard work and dedication is formally recognised.
