Over the centuries Lancashire has played host to some of the most defining events in British history. Learn more about the important role the area has played throughout the ages, during a trip to one of the historical attractions near our park. Lancaster Castle, home to the infamous Witch Trials of 1612 is less than 20 minutes’ drive. Tour the exuberant stately homes funded by the regions role in the industrial revolution to get a glimpse into the past.

The Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is within easy reach of Moss Wood Caravan Park. The Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Park are slightly further afield, but still within easy reach for a fun-filled day out. Closer to home, Cockerham Sands, Glasson Dock, Fleetwood and Morecambe Bay are not to be missed. Our idyllic location is the perfect base for discovering the beautiful landscapes for which Lancashire is renowned.

If you prefer a more urban setting, there are some picturesque towns and villages to explore. We highly recommend trips to Galgate, Pilling Village, Poulton-le-Fylde and of course, Lancaster during your stay.

Lancashire boasts a wide selection of artisan food and drink. The areas abundant arable land and proximity to the coast enables farmers to produce high quality meat, vegetables and fish. We sell a range of local produce in our on-site shop, so you’ll have easy access to some of the freshest local goods. There are also plenty of farm shops and local markets in the area to stock up whilst you’re out.
