With the summer season drawing to an end, we thought we’d take a moment look back on the last year. The summer of 2021 is one of the busiest we’ve experienced and our team have worked tremendously hard.

It’s been so lovely to welcome visitors new and returning back to Moss Wood after such a difficult period. We’ve enjoyed seeing the park come back to life and it’s been wonderful to be a part of people’s well-deserved breaks.

During this challenging time our staff have worked their socks off to deliver first class service. We’re so proud of the way they’ve conducted themselves, and if our online reviews are anything to go by, their commitment hasn’t gone unnoticed by our guests.

To celebrate the Moss Wood team we’ve compiled a list of just some of the online reviews we’ve received this year. We’re so pleased with the feedback, we thought it would be lovely to share!

 

Well-maintained grounds

Our dedicated groundskeeping team work hard to ensure the grounds are well-maintained. We’re constantly reinvesting in the park and looking for ways we can expand our offering. Over the winter we try to make improvements so there’s always something new to see in spring. Upgrades are always well received by our guests, who commend the high standards of our facilities and touring pitches.

One of the things that really sets Moss Wood apart from the crowd is the beautiful floral displays we have around the park. The team are constantly tending to plants and flowers to create a bright and colourful backdrop. It’s lovely to see that many of our reviews mention the flora and fauna, because this is an area we put a lot of time and effort into.

Peaceful environment

Moss Wood is well-suited to visitors looking to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy a quiet and relaxing break. Our idyllic rural location provides guests with a peaceful setting to unwind and switch off from the outside world.

From our park you can access a number of scenic walks, through picturesque countryside and woodland. You won’t be disturbed by loud road noises, just the sound of birds chirping away in the background.

Guests often tell us that our caravan park is a little slice of heaven and one of their favourite places to de-stress and enjoy some much-needed quality family time.

Touring pitches

Many of our touring guests return year on year to make the most of our 5-star touring pitches and facilities. All are pitches are spacious, level and fully serviced with electric hook up, water and drainage.

Each pitch is situated in a sheltered position on the park with a grass surround, ideal for dining outside or soaking up the sun. Many of our pitches have a stunning outlook with views over our private coarse fishing lake.

Our online reviews mention the quality of facilities on offer as well as our reasonable pricing structure. It’s fantastic to see guests appreciate the great lengths we go to create a memorable environment.

Immaculate facilities

Our on-site facilities are a real hit with visitors of all ages. We’re proud to have a variety of things to do on site, with plenty to keep the whole family entertained. At Moss Wood we’re huge proponents of spending time with your loved ones in the great outdoors. This means we shy away from organised entertainment in favour of simple activities and events that focus on nature.

One of our major selling points is our nature trail and woodland walk, where you may be lucky to spot some of our local wildlife. Past guests have spotted numerous species of butterflies, bees, birds, deer and even red squirrels! We also have a private fishing lake that is well stocked with carp, tench, roach and rudd. For the children there are two outdoor adventure play parks and even a trust library if you need something to keep you busy on a rainy day.

Our touring guests are always impressed with our modern amenities block with toilets, showers and baby change facilities. These are cleaned at regular intervals throughout the day.

Dog Friendly holiday park

Moss Wood was recently voted one of the best dog friendly holiday parks in the UK! We have a number of dedicated facilities to ensure your four-legged friends have a memorable break. We have poo bins at convenient locations around the park. Best of all we have a 4-acre recreational field, where your canine companion can run and play off lead!

Dogs are an important part of the family and we receive plenty of feedback from happy customers who were pleased with how well their canine companion was received by our team.

Wildlife watching

Our Lancashire caravan park is a haven for wildlife and we go to great lengths to ensure we create habitats for wildlife to thrive and flourish. We’re a part of a number of national initiatives, such as the David Bellamy Conservation scheme and we work closely with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust.

We often welcome experts onto the park to educate our visitors in addition to the information boards we have dotted around the site. In previous years we’ve hosted guided bat walks and stargazing events.

Of course, we might be biased, but we think we have the best staff around! They always go the extra mile to ensure our touring visitors and holiday home owners have an enjoyable time on park. As you’ll see in our reviews, they’re more than happy to answer any questions you may have. They can offer practical assistance and offer suggestions of places to visit in the local area.

We’re privileged to have such a wonderful team who work tirelessly throughout the year. Maintaining Moss Wood Caravan Park really is a team effort and wouldn’t be possible without such a fantastic team behind us. Convenient location

Moss Wood occupies a convenient location in Lancashire – ideal for exploring picturesque towns, cities and coastal resorts around the county. Lancaster, Blackpool, St Annes, Fleet Wood, the Forest of Bowland and Cleveleys are all just a short drive away and the Lake District is within easy reach. We’re also ideally situated for a quick stop on the long drive to Scotland.

The park is nestled at the end of a tree lined vale, in a quiet and secluded spot. Our semi-rural location affords guests the best of both worlds – a quiet base to enjoy a relaxing break as well as easy access to major transport routes.
